“I don’t understand people who don’t see that [Hagan] is a WOMAN.”
(Well, to some people she doesn’t sound like a woman… -Mosu)
(That’s… kind of offensive. I don’t get why people think it’s acceptable to attack someone’s appearance or presentation (including how their voice sounds) just because they’re celebrity-status in a fandom you’re in. Aside from being downright hurtful, what does it matter whether or not you think she sounds masculine? The only time someone’s voice is relevant is if you find it too grating to listen to… which is fine, but you’re an asshole if you feel the need to announce that fact.
Diamanda Hagan is female. And before anyone starts, no one has a right to discuss someone else’s sexual orientation or gender identity without their express permission, and Hagan has said many times that she does not want anyone to do so (beyond the fact that she is a lesbian). Get over the fact that a contributor doesn’t fit into your exact mental image of how their gender should look/sound, and then kindly STFU. -Meerkat)
